The program will educate guests about the role farming had in the formation & development of the La Grange areas. We have come full circle from farming to no farming or livestock, and now the new interest in raising chickens.

The Historical Society will present material about the history of farming in the area including some little known & interesting facts. Bona Heinsohn from the Farm Bureau will talk about raising chickens in suburbia. Facts vs fiction, how many eggs do they lay, what do they eat, how long do they live, what size space is needed to raise them in a healthy environment, etc!  There will be Q & A time at the end of the program.
